Privacy Policy

MakeYourFilm (“we”) provides AI-assisted short-film generation. This policy describes what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account data: email, username, password hash, optional display name.
• Creative inputs: ideas, director notes, cast photos you upload, generated plans and films.
• Usage: generation quota, billing tier, device-local performance metrics (not sent by default).
• Technical logs: IP, user-agent, error traces (may go to Sentry when configured).

How we use data

To run the product (auth, generation, storage on S3-compatible object storage), enforce quotas, process payments via Stripe when enabled, improve reliability, and comply with law.

Providers

Video/image generation may use third-party AI APIs (e.g. xAI, MiniMax). Payment processing uses Stripe. You should not upload sensitive personal data of third parties without a legal basis.

Retention & deletion

Films and accounts remain until you delete them. You can permanently delete your account at any time in Settings on the web or in the app: this cancels any paid subscription and removes your films (published ones included), uploads, likes, API keys and sessions. You can also email us to request erasure; we will delete or anonymize personal data subject to legal holds.
